Babaz began the way every great Middle Eastern meal does — around a kitchen table. Our family carried recipes from generation to generation, polished them over decades, and brought them to London, Ontario with one promise: no shortcuts, no compromises, no exceptions to the halal seal.
Every morning, our cooks start before the city wakes. Chickpeas simmer, parsley is hand-chopped for tabbouleh, lamb is butchered and marinated, and bread is baked on the saj. The gas bbq is lit by ten — the smell of smoke is what tells our regulars we're ready.
We believe Middle Eastern hospitality is generous by nature.
